Our Biography
A Story Steeped in Smooth Rock and Sheer Belief
Michelle Neuringer started Yacht Rock Choir, a no-audition community choir in Brooklyn, NY, because she believes there should be a choir in the world that celebrates yacht rock music. It’s love-centered, positive and feels like our happy place: a sunny day with a water view, where time slows down. Singing yacht rock music in multi-part harmony leads to increased connectedness, inclusion, improved brain function, and groovy '70s vibes. This video tells our origin story.
